Sydney Ferries are cool, but we locals don’t value them enough.
Stepping on one of the older style ferries of the “lady class is like taking a step back in time. I am not given to protesting, well not since Greenham Common, but when Sydney finally moth balls them for good, I will be marching down George St in protest.
A ferry ride is one of the best and cheapest harbour cruises in Sydney. Just remember to act like a local and thank the deck hand who ties up the ferry at the wharf as you disembark.
